Final Frame

And so it ended. I snapped bit and pieces all day in the interests of ensuring I had something. Then I had an idea for a big finale with a champagne bottle popping it's cork but that was a dismal failure and also disconcertingly phallic for a family site.

So in the end it was this shot that won out. Not the first champagne shot (see 28th October). Not the first shot of the fire (see 20th January). Nevertheless a cosy end to the year being where I wanted to be with who I wanted to be there with.

This marks the completion of the 2013 365 Challenge and so cause so celebration even if blipfoto only thinks I'm on 290. As I've said repeatedly this year : My challenge. My rules.

Final 2013 geek note : The flash was used for this shot but bounced sideways off the Christmas tree to give a bit of colour and sparkle.
