Happy New Year!

Day 1
We all hurried down to the beach at 11.59, wearing party hats and glowy sticks, to see Dubai attempt to break the world record fireworks. At midnight there was a small display which we assumed was like a "sneak peak" but by 00.15 there was no sight of anymore fireworks. Everyone else left the beach assuming either something had gone wrong or they missed it, so we left too. Once we were all back in the flat we heard some fireworks and rushed to the window. The world record fireworks display had started half an hour late and we missed them! Lesson learned; never doubt Dubai.
