Post wedding blooms!

Wow!! What a way to get rid of an old year and welcome in the new.. a truly amazing wedding of a very special niece. The party continued today with brunch in a nearby cafe .. Eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary's sorted most of us out!! As we left a small momento of some wedding flowers were given to me. They were such beautiful flowers. All the roses on the tables were blousey and each had a stunning scent. (A rarity for purchased flowers these days) The colours were enhanced with rich purples and deep reds and it was lovely to be given these to bring home. Right now they are looking a little worse for wear as they were in the car a while without water but they will perk up (as will I with a good nights sleep and plenty of water to drink!!)

We travelled home along the motorway through terrible rain and wind.. an unpleasant accident happening split seconds in front of us leaving a car in the fast lane sideways to the traffic. The visibility was dreadful with heavy rain and lights reflecting off the road and it was a miracle we didn't also hit the spun car as it was all but invisible.. I do hope all the occupants were ok it must have been terrifying..
