Barton Marina by night!

These were the brightest lights we saw all day!

What a dreary day weatherwise - so bleak, windy, wet, cold.....

Most sensible folks would have stayed in all day - not me! I was staying at a friend's house, so we decided to brave the weather and get out.

We had a soggy walk around Croxall Lakes Nature Reserve. We hardly saw any wildlife!!

Then a windswept and sombre visit to the National Memorial Arboretum and had some lunch there.

And finally a coffee at Barton Marina, where we found a cinema and cafe bar. A nice find for a future night out.

My other half was up in Preston watching the footie.
