We're definitely all crazy now!

On the 13th October 2013 clickychick posted "Mama we're all crazy now" Well except The Man he's retaining his sanity." My sanity started to slip with my first blip on the 17th December. Any remaining doubts went completely out of the window today.

You really do have to be completely mad it a set off in the late afternoon of a pouring wet winters day to take photographs of.......... water! However when CC said lets go down to the lake and take some shots I agreed. I hadn't been past the door all day and wasn't fully aware of the weather! While taking the gear out to the car I began to realise just what the day was like. Never mind it could change before we get there. Oh yes it could, it DID for the worse! Part way there we passed an ex-colleague of mine and thought "not the day I would have chosen for a walk". A little further along the road we met the Mountain Rescue land rover -ah! that explains what he was doing he was part of the team, there before the land rover as he lived near by.

When we arrived in Glenridding it was even wetter with horizontal rain! On with the waterproofs and up with the umbrellas. Not before I managed to give my thumb a very painful stab on a broken part of the umbrella. At the lake the water wasn't quite as high as we had expected. We have been down when only the backs of the seats were showing.

A few grabbed shots with the umbrellas keeping the rain off the cameras, back to a nice warm car and homeward. We were held up for a couple of minutes while the casualty was being loaded into an ambulance. It would appear (as we hadn't been long) the casualty had been collected and evacuated quickly.
