New Years Day

Great night out dancing and celebrating to ring in 2014 and up until 2.30am! Such a great night out with Mr Lovely.

Late start to the day, but had a hangover breakfast in the Bank House, but we were still hungry so ordered another one between us to share - think it shocked the owner Vic and certainly gave the other customers something to giggle about.

My son returned home, though it took some time to travel back today as most of the routes here from the M5 were flooded and his dad had to keep turning back and trying a different route. I've missed him so much, and he always seems to have grown physically and emotionally/mentally when he returns.

We took a stroll down on the beach to see what the storm was doing to the sea. One mad man was attacking beached trees with a chainsaw, even venuturing into the sea, dodging waves to try to reclaim one that was just out of reach.

New Years Resolutions:
Try to stay in touch better with distant friends
Entertain at home a bit more to fill 2014 with great memories - I've missed cooking for friends and family too much over the last year
Ensure Mr Lovely continues to "love my life as it's perfect" as he told me this morning when asked what his Resolutions would be

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain
