Happy New Year!

We took our friends for a drive round the Lakes again today, and the weather was even worse than yesterday's. Took a few landscapes, but I was really taken by Emma's nails, which she hand painted for the new year, with the date (2014) and even crossed champagne glasses!

New year's day is always tinged with a little sadness - it's 10 years ago today that my Mum passed away.
