New start!

Happy New Year to all you lovely blippers!! Hope it's a happy and peaceful one for you all.

It was my hubby's 5oth birthday today. He is not one for parties or fuss, the weather put paid to a day out, so it's been a quiet celebration. We made him breakfast in bed, helped him open his presents (Lottie did anyway), and then continued the board game theme by playing Scrabble. Again it was Lottie's first attempt at proper Scrabble and she did really well with a little bit of help.

After a snooze we went across to the in-laws and took the birthday cake surprise with us. One of the mums from school makes these as a hobby - it is fabulous and I wish I had a talent like that!

Finished the day off with tea out at Bella Italia.

Back to normality tomorrow but one of my resolutions this year is to be more positive and not let it all get to me - we will see!!
