All You Can Eat Sushi
One of the more ridiculous fringe benefits of being a designer in Chicago concerns the annual NeoCon. every june, for 3 days (and 3 nights -hey!) River North plays host to the world of interior design and decoration. what that means for me is that there is a legion of merchants and product representatives looking to grab my attention in the hopes that i might specify one of their products in a future project. at some point someone decided that the best way to secure my attention and thereby my patronage is by plying me with expensive cocktails and all-you-can-eat sushi. and frankly, that's alright with me.
