Northern Shovelers

So happy we both had the day off today, so took a drive over to the wildlife refuge. Saw a Snowy Owl, but it was waaaay far away. Also spotted a bald eagle, pintails, mallards, black ducks, Great Blue Heron and some buffleheads.

I really love the coloring of the shovelers and that bill is incredible. Sneak a peek closeup.
