Heading to town

We woke up to more rain but by lunchtime, it was really sunny. My brother and his son walked to town and we went to meet them for a coffee. When we came out of the coffee shop, the sky was really dark and we got drenched on the way home. It pelted down icy rain and it was really windy.
e had to take our clothes off and hang them to dry. In the evening, we went round to the in laws for dinner. The whole family was there. Afterwards, we went round to my friend Fiona's house for drinks and nibbles. We left around 11pm. I went straight to bed and missed the fireworks at midnight.
