Happy Hogmanay!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne?

Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

A busy day at work, then home to get organised for the evening's festivities. We had been invited round to spend Hogmanay with some good friends. Ignoring the inclement weather , we set off on foot to enjoy a lovely evening of good food and wine, great company and toasts and kisses at the Bells ... a fitting end to what has been a good year!

2013 was the year I discovered Blipfoto, a discovery which has already changed the way I see things. Continually searching for something worthy of being "blipped" certainly does make life more fun. I have also enjoyed being in contact with all of you people who are kind enough to follow my journal and leave encouraging comments. Thank you for sharing your Blips with me.

This is a revised Blip because I wasn't happy with the collage I originally posted. The 3 images didn't really work together. Instead, I have chosen this shot of my kind hostess's cat, who obligingly positioned himself beside an orchid.

ES was in Glasgow with his girlfriend, and they seem to have had a quiet but very happy evening together. He telephoned immediately after the Bells to wish us a happy New Year.

YS had a very different kind of evening in a busy night club in Glasgow where he had a slot as a DJ. His "set" seems to have gone very well, and then he and his friends enjoyed the rest of the line up.

Hope you all had a very happy Hogmanay and I send you all my best wishes for a good New Year! x
