Hexa-go-go

After a day of rain yesterday, the sun is out. I, on the other hand, am sat inside watching a re-run of the Gator Bowl cutting out hexagons.

Why am I cutting out hexagons? Rather foolishly I decided last year that I wanted to make a quilt, (super-king size) even though I am rubbish at sewing. I also wanted to use English Paper Piecing technique ... hence the hexagons.

The size of the quilt means I need 2,500 hexagons, that is a lot of cutting out!!

1,00o hexagons have so far been cut out and have had the fabric basted to them.

This project is going to take a while longer yet!
