blueish

what is this picture? Where does it fit into the photo scheme of things? It's not a straight up picture of a boat, because I've cut off the ends. I haven't cropped in so far as to turn it into something abstracted; nor have I turned it into a mono image to concentrate on it's graphic qualities, cos I like the pale blue and yellow colours. It's not the sharpest shot I've ever taken, nor was it taken on a bright sunny day with the clarity of light and reflection. But, I saw it out the corner of my eye, and knew it would be todays blip. I took other variations of the shot, but knew the first one was basicly it. Maybe it was something about the bolsters (I'm guessing the're called that) on the sides and their reflections. Looking for patterns perhaps. So I'm guessing it just comes down to a feeling I get when I see a potential image. What makes me choose that and not one of a thousand other shots along the way. In my mind, I get it; I hope some others do too! Welcome to 2014
