Evergreen plant

This plant, I was told, was to be taken in when frosty, but I leave it outside all year. Loves damp soil and has popped up in a few areas of the garden - including this one on my steps. Quite a sturdy plant thinking about how much the leaves get munched. A few petals on the ground from neighbour's winter cherry and moss settled in too. Don't know its' name.
