Рабо́чий и колхо́зница

The 'Рабо́чий и колхо́зница' ('Workman and collective farm worker') is a famous landmark of monumental art in Moscow (it has been described as representing "the ideal and symbol of the Soviet epoch"). The structure was made from stainless steel by sculptor Vera Mukhina for the 1937 World's Fair in Paris, and subsequently moved to Moscow.

This shot taken this evening with a Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone using the Nokia Smart Cam program. The shot is grainy (as expected). I thought that the red flag at left added an interesting albeit unintended historical dynamic!
