Joel

This morning I gave Daughter#1 a lift into Glasgow on the first leg of her journey back to Denmark, dropping her at a friend's house, where I met her little godson, Joel.

Joel's mum is from Mauritius and speaks to him in French, but he hears more English from those around him, including his Scottish dad, so his first words have been English. However, he and his baby brother, Levi, will grow up bilingual, which is great.

He's not too sure of me taking his photo, but he's a wee cutie, isn't he?
