Day 2: The calm after the storm

Today the wind had dropped and the rain had stopped and so leaving the house was achieved!

After a breakfast of weetbix - and no chocolates - I was good to go. Andy had Christmas cake, proving that getting back to normal takes some people longer than others!

First we went for a walk around Hazlehead Park, it was a lovely calm day which is what made the battered brolly in my pic stand out all the more. Abandoned by people braver than us clearly as they obviously ventured out in much worse conditions.

After a wee while spent in the maze, and having found the exit twice but unable to locate the centre, we decided it was time to depart.

Lunch in Stonehaven followed and then it was a trip to Asda for cream, maple syrup ad pecans as Andy's quest to become an ice cream king continues.

My day actually generated a few contenders for a blip photo, but I really liked the abandoned brolly - he deserves a decent farewell.
