Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market

Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market has become a huge favourite with both residents and visitors to the city from all over the UK and Europe. It is now the largest outdoor Christmas Market in the country and Chris and Jilly, our wonderful Suffolk friends, along with one mother, one sister and one niece came to visit. We joined them!

We browsed the traditional stalls offering an array of beautiful handmade toys, Christmas decorations, original jewellery and craft goods. Chris, Jilly and family enjoyed the delights of German mulled wine (Gluhwein) and devoured grilled sausages while Graham and I drooled over pretzels, gingerbread, crepes and marzipan sweets.

We finished the evening with a meal in a superb French restaurant, however, the highlight of the wonderful evening was our ride on the carousel!
