Bricks
Hurrah for freecycle, I spotted an advert on New Year's Eve that someone locally wanted rid of about 200 house bricks and amazingly they were still available when I contacted the advertiser. We had no idea what 200 bricks looked like but drove over to a neighbouring village and loaded the car up in two journeys.
A count up as we unloaded revealed 300+ bricks. Now all we need is a dry spell in the weather to move them to there final resting place, around the lawn and flower beds.
It feels rather good to have some really good materials and to have not shelled out an inordinate amount of money.
