Date…what date?

I needed to make some space in the cupboard for all the jars of jam, marmalade, chutney etc that I received this Christmas, so I checked out all the bags of pulses etc. These bags all have “use by” dates pre 2013. Some are very old!!!! I’m ashamed to say how old some of them are:0(

So I’ve emptied them all in to the food bin for collection tomorrow. At least they will be recycled by the council, so not a complete waste of money, as we get an annual supply of compost from them.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but I have decided that I need to reduce the amount of foodstuffs in the cupboards and freezer.
