After weeks of poor weather the prospect of sunshine sent us heading to the sea. Little did we know when we parked at the supermarket what an amazing hour was ahead. Bought some fruit (that's me being healthy for the new year) and sandwiches then walked to the prom.

I've never seen the tide as high here so checked details on my phone. High tide 10.1 metres at 11.36. Ooh, we hadn't missed the best. Great to watch and photograph. The blip is the slipway from the yacht club which resembles a submerged road. Cumbria is on the other side!!!!!!
