If Boots Could Talk

We are Mel's boots. She rescued us over twenty years ago at a Glen Ellyn, Illinois footwear depository called Giesche Shoes.

As you can see, we are black mirror twins, with rainbow laces, and "Bouncing" soles. Except for a few scratches, we are fully in tact and have all of our original parts.

Our names are Dr. and Martens. We were made in England, back when our entire family line was still manufactured there.

Mel says we are amazing, waterproof, comfortable, and coveted by many.

We adore her feet, but really did not appreciate being dragged out into a snowstorm this morning.

Yes, we are boots, but couldn't she have worn those Sketcher twins today?
