C before we went out - I advised him to wear that nice shirt (which had previously not been to his taste)

We went round to the girls flat for a bit of Proseco, then out to the Curlers for a three course dinner. It was lovely - I didn't really know a lot of people there but I don't think anyone knew everyone and it was nice anyhow. We sang Auld Land Syne, watched drunken revellers get chucked oot and headed off for some partying at a flat. All in all, a splendid birth for a New Year!
