Happy Hens ?

Spotted these during a visit to our local garden centre today. When did garden centres change from selling plants and 'standard' garden stuff and branch out? Seemed odd today that most of the plants and similar had gone - presumably to make space for this years new plants.

So between the clothing outlet, the aquarium/pond equipment and fish, the Christmas gifts, garden furniture and all the other paraphernalia that the modern garden centre sells I would guess that today plants etc made up considerably less than 20% of the stock.

Makes me wonder if all aspects of our lives have been diluted similarly.
