More sightseeing for Justin and me today... The Amsterdam Museum was very interesting. The building was a monastery in the Middle Ages and housed an orphanage from 1578 to 1960. We enjoyed the exhibits illustrating the history and development of Amsterdam into the city it has become today. We also saw one of Rembrandt's portraits of Saskia that is on loan from the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

Next was the "Heineken Experience" museum. The beer was good, but the best part of the museum was the view from the rooftop. The spires of the Oude Kerk are on the left and the Zuiderkerk Amsterdam bell tower is on the right. I can only imagine yesterday's fireworks from this vantage point!

The nearby Indian restaurant beckoned so Kevin joined us for dinner. Delicious! Another fun day!
