Party On!
We might as well keep the party going because the weather outside is frightful.
So much snow in a constant fall from last night, all day today, and all day tomorrow (Friday). So the governor of NY and the new mayor of New York City have declared emergencies. Highways closed in the state.
For us up in the middle of the state this is not big deal... although the -10º temp. (-23ºC) tomorrow will not be fun. If my neighbour blows out the snow from my drive in the morning before he goes to work (what a saint) I hope to go to swimming class and to pick up more marzipan so I can frost the drunken English Christmas cake to take to the church potluck supper on Sat. night.
I may have to make my own almond paste/marzipan if going to town makes no sense.
Oh, I got side tracked here about the weather and forgot to mention what's in this indoor blip today.
The big round ball of edam cheese was a Christmas present to me from my brother who lives down there in warm mississippi on the Gulf Coast and who attends "ole miss" getting his THIRD PhD.
He's a star slow learner... once was not enough.
The cheese comes from the University dairy cows. I think it weighs about 8 pounds. I will take a while to get through it but I wanted to send a blip before cutting into it. Then maybe in a couple weeks from now we will see how far along I have gotten.
Hope you are still feeling in a festive mood and are ready to enjoy the end of another week. Having a day off in the middle of the week is such a good idea!
