Driving test (sort of)
Up early and on our way to the San Antonio Driving Center. We read online that it's best to get there nice and early to avoid queues.
We both got our initial interview at the same time one booth apart. Jill got the stamp of approval and I was denied. Supposedly you have to be in the country for 30 days before you can sit it. She told me to come back on the fourth! This was news to me and there is no mention of it anywhere online that we have seen. I didn't want to argue with her as Jill had to get hers done today before she starts back work on the 2nd. So I just let it go (the joys of being an alien).
Anyway Jill passed her theory and managed to book a practical test for later in the day. She decided that it would be a good idea to go and get some reverse parking practice in (good job she did).
She passed her test with only a few minor points. Hurrah!!!
To celebrate we went out bowling, followed by some arcade games and then to the local brewery for a quick refreshment.
A slightly later night was had than originally planned, all in good fun though!
