Unbroken Snow
Bitterly cold again - 27 degrees below zero on the balcony when we woke this morning. That's Celsius of course, I can't think in Farenheit when it's cold. Dick called from Florida and said it was 86˚ there (we're back in Farenheit now). Lucky Dick.
Twas nice and sunny though, so we went to Frederic and skied around Coon Lake. The trails there are groomed and at least partially tracked which we are not used to, so it was a different experience. Some nice skiing in the woods, but a bit icy round the lake - we could really use another few inches of snow (can't believe I said that).
Anyway, I resisted the temptation to show Mr. Lightwave snowploughing down a hill - he's a beautiful downhill skier and his uncharacteristic inelegance on cross country skis does not deserve to be broadcast to the world at large. Well, not this time anyway. So here's the late afternoon sun casting long shadows on a landscape much closer to home.
