Give the monkey a spoon!

Turns out that the slugs were well prepared for me this morning. After opening the front door with all intentions of using my impressive size on the garden gastropods, I was greeted by a message left over the path which when translated from slug reads - "If you think that your boot goes black then be waiting for the emu" which if my grasp of slug is sound means that I should invest in a penguin bodyguard and sleep with both eyes open.

Of course I could also have another cup of coffee but something tells me that maybe... just maybe, that might NOT be such a good idea.
