In retrospect, what we should have done was invite our lovely new neighbours round for dinner before heading up to the North Riding to see the new year in. But we made the mistake of forgetting how phenomenally busy Scarborough Tandoori can be on such occasions. Even though we booked and were given a table fairly promptly, we blew valuable drinking time waiting ages for our food, which, amazingly, was as stunningly delicious as ever.
