Better than he thought

Sad to say my 81 year old dad is slowly fading away before my eyes. He's no wimp though and I'm in admiration of how he gets on with life as best he can. Each day is a bonus.

This afternoon we visited the local St Peter's Hospice to check out the day patient facilities on offer.

This blip shows the entrance to what is a very smart modern building. Dad was well impressed. I don't know what he expected. A row of plastic chairs in an uninviting hall I think. Quite the opposite. It was a warm comfortable place with friendly helpful people, many volunteers.
