Storm Clouds
Well today we should have been collecting daughter No2 from Heathrow on her return from New Zealand but as I reported yesterday she was poorly in hospital and as a result she was unable to fly.
The good news is that after treatment she was well enough to be released. However because at first she was unable to confirm with the airlines the date she would be able to fly she has been re-booked to fly next Friday!.
At the moment she is staying with friends on the Coromandel peninsular on the east coast of North Island and that is where she had been taken ill. It was an hour and a half journey in the ambulance to the nearest Hospital at Thames.
She is still feeling a little fragile and the extra few days resting in the sun will top her up for the long journey back home.
Last evening, all the family just happened to be here and we rang and spoke to her at the Hospital. The trouble with the time difference is that although is was about 5pm here, it was 7am there and a nurse woke her up to speak to us! That would make anyone feel better or NOT!
Well I don't think she would have exchanged her sunshine for out weather today..
A mixture of sun hail rain and all in between. I heard that a sudden hale storm on the M5 caused an accident this morning. Here in the south west the very high spring tides caused some coastal flooding but luckily we live too high to be effected
We are all now feeling a little more settles after feeling so helpless to help No2 all this distance away. She is with a good friend who has been fabulous in getting her to hospital and looking after her and getting every one here informed of the situation, thank you Emma and thank all of you who sent your good wishes!
Can't be bothered to cook tonight so I'm off down to the chip shop in a minute for fish & chips with a curry sauce!!!!
