Fallen tree

One of several trees blown down at Arduaine Garden over the Christmas holiday was this lovely Gevuina avellana, the so-called Chilean Hazel. We have others, but it's still sad to lose an old friend. Some of the suckers were left in place and so it will grow again, but won't achieve the same height for many years.
