Baking Day

Don't blame Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood. It is a long time since we did any baking. Blame my son and the fact that he hosted Christmas for the family. My wife (after quite a long lay-off from baking) made almond slices and the paradise cake that for the family over Christmas and they were great successes. So we got back into the baking mood today. Wife made almond slices and paradise cake again: and I will now get a good feast of it with the younger generation live elsewhere. And I made some bread, having resurrected our old bread maker.
