Spokes of a Wheel

Took my lovely out for a long walk round the local country lanes and saw a lot of this plant ... I unfortunately have no idea what it is but I love the structure and the greens. Took me several attempts to get a reasonable shot; the sniffs at the base of the tree kept tempting my partner in crime to move.
