..and rest

We spent the day with our friends A and E again today. The weather was not very conducive to outdoor entertaining but we did make a brief foray between rain showers to the Brookwood War Memorial Cemetery. E is a keen photographer and had got a very smart medium format film camera for Christmas, so we thought the cemetery might provide some good photo opportunities. It was a bit too cold to linger for long and we were all very glad to get back in the car!

A and E's Mum came for dinner in the evening before taking the guys back home. We had a very nice lamb tagine and aubergine stew, followed by apricot and ginger crumble. Diet starts tomorrow!

That was the last of our Christmas entertaining and it's all back to normal tomorrow. The Christmas decorations will come down and we'll be cracking on with work again.

For now, I'm just taking a breather with a nice pot of fresh mint tea. Can't beat it!
