What am I?

Clue - out with the old and in with the new.

A busy day today. Dad has got M and K staying over and the house has been so quiet without them; I'm really missing them. D went to work this morning so I was home alone after a bit of shopping up town. Moped about for a bit, did some marking but my heart wasn't really in it so I went and made a big dent in the ironing mountain. I'm sure it was on a par with Everest!
