The old teaching the young

Son T has been busy over the past month doing up an old ride on mower that got given to him, which wasn't going. He has pulled most of the motor apart, and had the engine running. He's also taken the blades off, as he's keen to have a bit of fun riding it over the farm. If I know T he will be finding every mud bog, and spinning the wheels - having lots of fun, but getting extremely dirty in the process.

T's next project is to build a cart to tow behind the ride on. To do this though he needed to learn to weld. T's grandad (My father-in-law) is a very talented welder, so T asked him to come up to the workshop this morning to show him how to weld. T took to it like a duck to water, and grandad was most impressed. It won't take T long to get the frame made. Not bad for a 13 year old!
