Desert Squirrel

Those cactus flowers again

It has been another beautiful day, and we've spent most of it in the garden. Some strenuous clearing of shrubs that had got out of hand. Actually, our gardening is usually strenuous. We have no ride-on mower (nor lawns), or any easy alternative to running up and down our sloping 2 acre block. It is also rocky, so digging almost always involves moving a heap of rocks.

The sky was clear tonight at sunset, so no dramatic clouds. I should have posted a sunset shot yesterday, as when I looked at them again this morning, they looked better than I'd thought last night. Does anyone else find that? It seems to happen to me quite a bit.

So, for today, a couple of those Gymnocalycium schroederianum flowers again. Today I made myself get the tripod out, and go for a bit more depth of field. I've been lazy recently, and not used a tripod for a couple of months or more. I'm challenging myself to post a shot using a camera on a tripod for the rest of the month. Let's see how it goes!
