Netsuke

The Japanese theme continues today. This is a treasure that came from my granny. It was brought back from Japan by my Great Grandfather.
It is a Netsuke which was worn with a Kimono attached to a piece of rope onto which small boxes were attached. Kimonos do not have pockets so special items were kept in the boxes.
Taking this photo has encouraged me to have a look at the craftsman ship and detail of this piece. He is absolutely beautiful.
