Airport Grey

S is away visiting her mum for a week and I dropped her off at the airport this morning. A grey day but she was pretty happy to be flying today and not in yesterday's storms.
Had our first experience of the new fully automatic check-in system this morning, one of those ideas that probably sounded great but in practice is really just pants. Each line still needed someone to be there helping, not least 'cos the screens/instructions were all in English - how very British!! And if the baggage tag that you now have to attach to your luggage yourself goes missing I guess it's not the airline's fault any more! I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one....
