Our fragile existence

Herself has documented the aftermath of the storm so I won't repeat it.

I think everyone we met today was feeling something similar - we lead a fragile existence and nature is far more powerful than we maybe want to acknowledge.

This expresses the theme quite well for me. An old boat that used to lie on the shore was torched because some thought it was 'an eyesore'. The many tourists, photographers and artists who stopped at the scene clearly didn't agree. The remains of the keel have recently been dragged out of sight and the very low tide today allowed us to get close. It's a treasure-trove of photogenic shapes and textures.
