One Elbow Down
In February I left work to buy a sandwich, slipped on ice and fractured my elbow in 12 places. It required 3 hours of surgery to put back together and the initial diagnosis was that I would loose most of the movement in my right arm.
8 months on and I was in for a check-up today. It may look like I've been shop-lifting from B&Q but the NHS have done an exceptional job. I was in surgery in under 24 hours, discharged within 72 hours, in physio within 128 hours and now have almost all of the movement back.
The NHS is given a very hard time and there are bits which are not perfect - like the food. But when you need them they're there and they do a bloody good job.
