When the Boat Comes In

Today we popped up to see my wife's parents in Greenock and on the way back we drove along Cove Road in Gourock.

Yesterday the exceptionally high tide and stormy weather brought coastal flooding to parts of Gourock. Cove Road was under water and they needed sand bags to protect properties. It was a bit calmer today, although the tide was high again, but fortunately it was not over the road.

Just as we got back home the light improved, so I popped over to the entrance to Kip Marina to take a few shots. This is a view looking out onto the River Clyde, just as the MV Runa was making its way into the Marina.
