Bimp of the day
Today Angie's step brother Peter and partner Sandra visited. They were last Bliped in August when the sun was shining & Sandra made quite a figure in her bikini. Now she's growing a bump (or as Peter Sellers would say, "Bimp") which is due in June. Luna found it a very nice spot to rest her head but was out of sight as I took the photo. Flash sought comfort on the sofa next to Angie and snorred away the wet afternoon content at having his portrait hung on the wall. The Christmas lights and advent candles still glowing until Monday (Epiphany).
Due to the gloomy weather, spent the day indoors apart from a quick visit to the horses - Both Peter and Sandra like animals so it's nice to relax knowing there won't be cries of "get that thing away from me". Sandra is a horse rider and somewhat more than an animal liker, even more than an animal lover - she has adopted a donkey at the Gut Aiderbichl Animal Rescue Shelter, well known in these parts with several celebrity patrons including the two Schumacher brothers. Angie, Sandra & Peter visited the donkey in it's shelter home near Salzburg a few weeks ago. There are now 20 such shelters in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and recently France. My daughter Kate is very active for a shelter where she lives in Ireland but sadly without the money and patronage the Gut Aiderbichl people have but also sadly, daily faced with just as many horrors of what humans can inflict on animals. Good luck with the great work Kate but I would prefer to see you out of business!
Looks like the weather isn't really improving in he UK but we are now trying to help out in these parts, even if it's not much coming down. Actually quite welcome from the point of view that it is a bit warmer and finally there is a chance some of the ice will melt.
PS Yesterdays commentary in Bavarian German was a bit of fun on my part. Thought Angie should not just take the photos but also write the text. The Bavarian is not well written and is in a rather "rural" style - she doesn't actually talk this way normally! However as far as I know there is no language restriction on Blip but I do find it great that so many non English mother tongue Blipers write in English, some clearly a little frightened to write much more than a title presumably afraid of making mistakes. I would only encourage them to write more and trust themselves. I am sure there are no UK Blipers who would take offence at any mistakes. Should also say how humbling it is for many Brits to see how many "foreigners" write such good English - Emmy in Denmark I find quite amazing. More power to all your words and you all have my full support - I couldn't keep up if the Blip language was German and that after over 20 years here- shameful!
