Not a good idea

to zoom on the roads here! They're narrow, winding, have blind curves and limited shoulders in many spots. In some sections of the roads, there are quite steep drop offs. Cycling is popular here too, so sharing the road is important and sometimes it means slowing right down behind a cyclist to allow oncoming traffic to pass. Thankfully there are surprisingly few major accidents and very few traffic fatalities. I do have one pet peeve - drivers who drive way below the posted speed limits, often oblivious to the line up of traffic behind them (yes, we do get line ups, especially just after the ferries unload). I always appreciate a slower driver who pulls over to let others pass - but there aren't many places that are good for pulling over.
I've driven thousands of miles and despite all of the above, I'd much rather drive here than in the city or on the freeway. :)
This will be my entry for the WBC challenge of Zoom - and it was a real challenge to come up with something this week!
