Build it and they will come
In what turned out to be a stroke of Christmas genius, I bought my 9 year old nephew a Lego voucher. With an offer to accompany him to the shop to help him spend it and lunch in Princes Square, it was a grand day out for us both.
Today's picture was taken whilst we Legoed. The hand reaching out of the bottom corner might give it away but for those who haven't visited a Lego store, the back wall is adorned with rows of pods, crammed full of an assortment of Lego. This display is sure to appeal to anyone with an interest in creativity, art, toys, design, building - or damn good business for that matter.
I'm delighted in the resurgence of Lego. With an ever expanding range, ensuring something for everyone, it seems they're holding their own against the gaming giants and adding something to the market that kids can't get enough of. And the geeky young staff are first class. Helpful, happy and knowledgable, the whole experience was great fun.
I don't wish to be judgemental but give me creativity, imagination and the opportunity to build something I can touch any day of the week.
As a company, Lego are bang on the money - if you build it, they will come!
