Dunfermline Abbey
Our weather today was marginally better than it has been over the last few days, although that is not forecast to last.
We had our first club walk today, and we walked eight miles in Fife, through the Devilla Forest and over to West Grange and Blairhall, and then to High Valleyfield, just outside the village of Culross.
We started off dry, but by the time we needed to stop for a bite to eat the rain had come on and it rained on us for about an hour, not too heavy though and we are well prepared for bad weather. Then we finished the walk through lovely woodland following the Bluther Burn for a bit to High Valleyfield and our waiting coach.
After changing our clothes, we headed for Dunfermline to have an hour of socialising (and drinking) in the pub before heading home. I blipped the Abbey in Dunfermline, if you look carefully you can see carved out on the top 'Robert'..... this is for King Robert The Bruce and each side of the tower has one word of his title.
Weather or not, it was great to get out for a bit of exercise after all the excesses of the holidays.
