An early morning trip to Princes St to try and get my mobile sorted (partially successful) got me this view towards the east.

Some iconic sights. Calton Hill, the Balmoral (though I am of an age where I still think of it as the North British), the Scott Monument, the Christmas Ferris wheel, Queen Victoria atop the Royal Scottish Academy and now the stanchions for the trams with their lighting running down the middle of the street.
